Last year we did a pinterest board on great board game gifts and surprisingly the Risk Onyx edition came out as the most picked. I say surprising because at $75 it was no small purchase but then again it’s not just a game you throw on the shelf either. So for this year’s follow up I decided to find a games so impressive that they’re not just to play, they’re conversation pieces.
Tommy Bahama Poker Chip Set
Forget the steal case or flimsy chip box, this set features 200 custom clay chips each with a distinct Tommy Bahama style down to an inlayed silver emblem. Deluxe Scrabble Set
Walk into a Restoration Hardware store and you’ll almost certainly notice people pointing at this one; made of a solid wood base with wooden pieces it’s not a game you’ll worry about finishing up to put away. Following in the style of the scrabble set, Monopoly’s Luxury edition takes the family classic to a whole new level. Marble Chess Set [at a reasonable price]
Chess sets are perhaps the most common game to receive an upgrade going to the thousands of dollars [or more] so it was only appropriate to include one on this list. The set shown here is made of Onyx & Marble stone which bring a classic and unique feel that only those materials can deliver. Bonus pick: Tiki Toss
